Holi 2021: Holi Celebration banned in these states and UTs as Covid

Today across the whole of India even in other parts of the world, we are celebrating the festival of Holi. You might be reminded of so many memories of how you celebrated Holi every year. Meeting each other, splashing colors, distributing sweets. Holi, a celebration of love and happiness is in the air. We would erase mutual differences. We would put an end to matters of the past. We would request each other not to feel bad, because it's Holi. But this year it is different. We are perhaps away from family and friends. We will not be able to meet. And we will certainly not be able to splash colors on each other. It's completely different this time. But often, such circumstances give us the time and chance to contemplate whether the way we were celebrating this festival every year. What did the festival intend to teach us? Was the aim-objective of the festival being just that much - Of burning the Holika? Of splashing colors on each other? Of drinking Bhang and distributing sweets? Was this the aim-objective of the festival? Or did it intend to bring about a certain newness, change, or transformation within us? It's important to introspect today.

HOLI COLORS

On Holika, we light up a pyre and offer many things into that fire. What does it signify? Holika is burnt at night. Night means the 'night-time' of this world. Agni (fire) represents Yog-Agni, the meditative fire. The power of meditation. And into that fire let us offer our weaknesses, matters from the past, pain, and wrong habits. So we need to burn and finish everything that is not right for us, isn't it? Yog-Agni means, through the power of meditation any habit that we want to give up, any old belief system which had tied us into limitations, we can finish all those matters today. That is the true meaning of burning the Holika. And when we finish those weaknesses, old habits, comfort zones, wrong habits, and past matters and with the power of meditation when we connect with God we receive love, power and knowledge from God. Then the original qualities inherently present within us What are those colors? Purity, love, peace Happiness, bliss, wisdom all of these are our original colors. And of course, the colors that we have with us, those are the colors that we can apply on others, isn't it? When the colors of purity, power, love, and happiness Compassion, acceptance when these qualities emerge within us, then the people who come into interaction with us we will apply those colors to that person.

Holika (Fire)

HOLY. Purity which means Holy. Life becomes pure. So, let's not feel we wouldn't be able to celebrate Holi this year. This year we have the time to pause and check that the way we celebrated this festival every year What did that festival come to teach us? And this year perhaps we cannot celebrate Holi outside of our homes. Perhaps we will not be celebrating it outside It will start becoming that festival (holy) here internally It's not only about celebrating but about becoming and living that way. It is not meant to be a one-day celebration. The festival then becomes our way of living. It makes life a celebration. So let's become Holi and lets radiate Holy colors to everyone.

People who are not familiar with the holi festival. Explain what it is. So, there’s a bunch of different reasons why police celebrated in India. One of them is an ancient Hindu story about an evil King had a sister Holica was able to burn anybody that she embraced and many other son or lot used to pray to the Lord Vishnu, which is one of the and his team became so beautiful and powerful that he wanted to be worship as thought and but his son chip or mining and that no, no, no, no, he’s got. And so he asked his daughter Leigh, good to embrace this fun and she would be able to read the story the sun. And so it could be like the all-powerful universal drive. And but it’s dead because Lord Vishnu was protecting the sun. She embraced him and she blew up and fire. She burned. But a lot of state. So when this all over the world celebrate this from ancient times. They do. They light a bonfire and they celebrate by burning Copa and then they take something so great and yet as per side and then somehow it turned into the timing of the event was at the beginning of spring and everything was done on a colorful throughout richer. And so, this became a celebration of solar one thing that went down the generations is that there’s very task oriented and there were upper class lower class, but in only everybody’s covered with color. And so, you cannot eat who you know what? And so, there’s no has to feel alert as the 3 that I think everybody celebrates its one says the festival of unity, a festival of good over evil and a festival.

Celebrating with unity

Timely as unity and focusing on unity. It is right now is now absolutely nothing said and we’re so proud, it has become a very. We have all people from all types of backgrounds. We even have news coverage from different media in Spanish. And, you know, from different communities. So, we’re very proud that it is not just the South Asian festival or even possible or even at the defense table. But it’s a festival of all. And we always put in everything.

There has been a lace in COVID-19 cases in the country. The Central Government has mentioned that states and UTs take checks before the joyful season.
